Cowichan Lake is about 30km in length and 4km wide with several communities grouped on its shores. The valley surrounding Lake Cowichan features Canada’s warmest mean annual temperatures with hot summers and mild, rainy winters. This area is also the gateway to Bamfield and the West Coast Trail. The new wilderness highway connects Victoria via Sooke.
